The activity is in Southampton Nanofabrication Centre is highly specialised, technically challenging and multi-disciplinary. Researchers in the Centre are involved in a range of flagship projects which are pushing the boundaries of technology in fabrication and characterisation, and in their application to engineering of real world solutions. A number of currently underway projects represent the full capability of the Centre:
- Helium Ion Microscopy: Working in partnership with Carl Zeiss SMT Inc., we are developing the capabilities and applications of the world’s first commercial scanning helium ion microscope (SHIM)- the Zeiss Orion.
